BMW CAS4+ EDITOR TOOL

 

Software utility used to read, edit, and patch binary dumps from BMW F-series Car Access System 4 modules.

Supported MCUs & Masks:

CAS4 (Non-encrypted): Motorola/Freescale MC9S12XEP100 (Mask 1L15Y)

CAS4+ (Encrypted): Masks 5M48H and 1N35H

Core Edits Supported:

ISN/SK Transfer: Write or read 16-byte (32-hex) DME/DDE ISN. On CAS4+, the editor uses a known working DME ISN to decrypt and reconstruct key data.

VIN Change: Update the 17-character VIN across stored memory blocks for donor unit adaptation.

Mileage Reset: Zero out or align odometer values and service logs to match the instrument cluster.

Key/Remote Config: Disable lost keys, reassign active slots (1–10), and switch carrier frequencies (315 MHz, 434 MHz, 868 MHz).

Gearbox (EGS) Sync: Clear or write the 8HP transmission ISN/EGS sync code.

Checksum Recalculation: Automatically repairs CRC/checksum values prior to saving to prevent bricking the MCU.

File Types Used:

D-Flash (Data Flash): 32 KB raw dump containing adaptive data (ISN, VIN, keys, mileage).

P-Flash (Program Flash): 2 MB or 4 MB program code (usually left untouched unless fixing corrupt bootloaders).
